| INSTRUCTIONS |
| All high schools students (grades 9-12) can register and compete in this competition. |
| Simply read Brain Facts (.pdf on the right) and prepare to answer questions about Neuroscience. |
| All competitors will take a paper test (25 multiple choice questions) and the top 10 scorers will move on to a live question-and-answer session. All questions will come from the Brain Facts book published by the Society for Neuroscience. Top three finishers will receive a monetary award and the winner will represent the BANG at the National Brain Bee (March, 2012). |
The winner of the National Brain Bee winner will receive $1500 and a fellowship to work in the laboratory of a neuroscientist during the summer. Monetary awards of $1000 will also be given for second place and $500 for third place. (2011 Awards) The National winner will also compete for the International Brain Bee. |
